Australia has become anti-family

The Q2 national accounts showed that Australia’s population grew by an extraordinary 656,000 in 2023-24:

The Q2 national accounts also showed that Australia’s population has ballooned by 1.78 million since Q4 2019, including the collapse in net overseas migration during the pandemic.

This means Australia’s population grew by an average of 99,000 people over the 18 quarters since Q4 2019, which is higher than the 91,500 average quarterly population growth recorded over the prior decade (i.e., March 2010 to December 2019).
