A Senate inquiry has demanded a slew of new regulations governing the federal government’s use of consultants.
The Finance and Public Administration References Committee ended its examination of the use of private consulting services.
The investigation discovered that Australia spends proportionately more on consulting services than any other country, resulting in conflicts of interest and difficulties with transparency.
