Shortly after the capture of Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro, U.S. President Donald Trump held a press conference announcing that the U.S. would effectively “run” Venezuela.

“We’re going to be running it with a group, and we’re going to make sure it’s run properly,” Trump said.

Trump went on to add that the U.S. would be making major investments in the Venezuelan oil industry:
